According to The Guardian, the Catholic Church's new Pope has announced

his desire to find a "new balance" in the Catholic church, calling for greater involvement of women in key decisions and a less condemnatory approach towards gay people, divorcees and women who have had an abortion.

Just recently, the Pope even visited the Italian island of Lampedusa, where Italy receives more boat people in a week than Australia does in a whole year. At no stage did he say anything to suggest these people need the type of brutal military greeting that Tony Abbott has been ranting about.

We now have the situation where feminists may prefer the head of the Catholic Church to the Prime Minister of Australia.
