In a dramatic episode in 2005, over $100,000 was pledged to a reward fund, much of it coming from a Queensland businessman, Ron Bakir, stating that

"Whoever comes forward with conclusive evidence will win the reward".

Remarkably, a month after launching this grand scheme, Bakir was referring all questions about it to his lawyers - or Schapelle's lawyers - or anybody else.

"I haven't even looked at it, I totally, totally forgot, but the lawyers are handling that. That's a matter for the lawyers.

So what actually happened to the reward? Was he afraid that evidence may come forward to incriminate rather than vindicate Miss Corby?

Can you claim the reward?

If you know the truth about the drugs in Corby's baggage you may be able to claim the reward.

  • Do you have evidence that substantiates the suggestion made by Corby's defence that the drugs were placed in her bag by corrupt airline baggage handlers?
  • Do you have evidence that Corby is herself the culprit and that she knew about the drugs in her bag and intended to profit from them?
